response to Smoke Signals and Reel Injun building off of the readings of Playing Indian that we have been doing. After viewing the two movies think about the ways in which Natives are represented and not represented in these two films. Does Reel Injun help to understand the ways in which “playing Indian” has become a cultural politics as much as a political-institutional problem? Do the Native characters and actors in Smoke Signals also “play Indian”? What would it means for them to play themselves? cite your claims by using the movie as citation. No sources needed to be included just the name of the movie.

Suggested Thesis Statement (can be adjusted as long as it meets overall intent):
The increasing tension between the Nordic countries and Russia has caused a shift in the region’s security dynamics, creating a security dilemma for the United States that threatens US security interests. The economic and military power of the two sides and the growing presence of NATO in the region has the potential to lead to a destabilizing arms race that could endanger US security interests. Therefore, to protect US security interests and foster regional partnerships, it is crucial to understand the dynamics of the economic and military factors that shape the security issues in the Nordic region.
Four Required Sections:
INTRODUCTION
The thesis/introduction is connected to an extremely clear and elegant introduction that provides a multi-pronged road map to the coming content of the paper and remains a solid touchstone to paper content through the end…
BACKGROUND
Background should be extremely well supported by evidence and analysis. Evidence presented is compelling and seamlessly tied to the argument. The key to the thesis will be to show how economic and military factors “intersect” rather than address them in isolation. You should be analytical, NOT descriiptive, and structured to support your argument…
IMPLICATIONS
The analysis and structure are convincing to an informed and critical reader. Analysis points should be extremely well supported by evidence and analysis. The evidence presented is compelling and seamlessly tied to the argument…
CONCLUSION
Conclusion synthesizes key points extremely well and does not simply restate or summarize the thesis, the reader can easily understand the importance of the work, and the conclusion might point out new significance, a practical application, or opportunities for further research, no matter what answers the question, “so what?”

Instructions
Welcome to the first assignment!
This assignment is a take-home essay assignment of 2 questions, up to 3 pages each, to test knowledge and assimilation of the course objectives and assigned readings. Using only the readings from Weeks 1-3, please answer the following questions. Do not “research” the answer using outside sources. Focus on the lessons and readings from our course.
Question 1: Electoral interventions. There are different ways foreign powers can get involved in elections. On the one hand, there are malicious interferences (hacking, propaganda, bribery, etc). On the other hand, there are efforts to help with planned observations or monitoring. Using readings from Weeks 1-3, consider what types of foreign interventions into elections are harmful and what kinds can help ensure a legitimate and smooth process. For the latter side of the question, you might want to review the United Nations page on election monitoring: https://dppa.un.org/en/elections. Support your answer with illustrative examples and specific cases from the sources.
Question 2: Perceptions of Electoral Integrity or Fraud. How citizens perceive the electoral process is critical to their success and legitimacy. Using readings from Weeks 2-3, discuss factors that strengthen citizens’ confidence in electoral processes, as well as the factors that work to erode public confidence. Cite specific examples from the sources.
Provide citations and references for all the consulted sources. ****Use 4 Sources Provided****

The outline will need a title, a topic, and preferably a research question.
I need to outline my paper on why we should expand the supreme court to provide more representation to the U.S. majority. It needs to provide an outline of understanding why this should happen.
